Saturday Practice time

It's been brought to our attention that some players would like a different practice time. I thought that I would start a poll to see what everyone would prefer. I'm using PST (Pacific Standard Time) so figure your time zone in.

Awesome NEW Skins by Bennsyd!!!

Bennsyd's made some exciting new skins available from his website(the link is on the left of this page). First, he's made an awesome Halo skin for the bots and what's more, depending on the team, the skin is either red or blue! He's also making an IronMan skin that ROCKS! It's Saturday! That means PRACTICE day for all the TribesWarriors that can make it!! Hope you can all make it, we need to get some gamin goin!! You ROCK!!!!!!

Thank you for your reply. In this case,As the game is no more supported by us ,so we would not be able to provide you with the sufficient information required for the issue with the game.

MAIN TW GAME SERVER BACK ONLINE

HELLO ALL,

The main tribeswar game server has been restored. The registry was corrupted and we had to wipe the system and rebuild completely. Fortunately our support team responded quickly. I configured the server and uploaded some base files while Vegimatic restored the map and war server files. I'd like to give kudos to Veg for being the official TW server and map man. All I had to do was fire up the server. Not to mention all the work he's done on the website. We've got some amazing team work here and I'd like to ask you all for you continued support and contributions to help us keep our server going.

To maintain the top notch server and website that we do, we pay $99/mo to keep it all going. That's $89/mo for the server and $10/mo for the website. We get $30/mo in contributions, and I cover the rest. $69/mo is a bit steep for me right now and I'd really appreciate some other players who want to see our server stay online help split the bill.

Server problems

Hey all,

We've had some issues first with the Tribes2 Master servers, which very well could have caused problems on our War2003 main and prac servers. Sierra/VU got the master servers back online(nope- still no IRC or browser) but our own game servers are still down. Pablos is working on it now with the hope of getting it back online soon. Sorry for any inconvenience, we'll be back online ASAP!

Some new maps

We have some new maps to check out! I'd really like some input if you happen to see any of them. The first is called ReVisit, it's a remake of MachineheadsFlagArena and was made to try to get back that close chaotic fighting from the days of old. The second new map to be found on the main is called CROSSCUT and uses booster tubes to shoot you across the map, mechs will love it. It's a wide open map and offense/defense balance was a priority. The third map is called BasketCase and is trying out a new base layout. If you happen to see/play on any of them, we'd be happy to hear any feedback you may have and maybe incorporate your suggestions into the map(s). WOOHOO!!! Site seems to be fixed!!!

Thanks Pablos!!!! for dealing with the hosting co. Looks like they've got the hw done. Site seems to be running back at the old speed- much faster.

This Slowww website

Just got word from Pablos on the situation with the website. Here's what he sent me:

Speaking of the website, I finally got a decent response from the hosting provider. Still not ideal, but at least they acknowledge that the problem is on their end entirely. Here is the response:

"We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Currently, we are experiencing issue with MySQL database slowness. We are trying to add the additional hardware to increase the speed of MySQL connection. Unfortunately, we do not provide any time frame, when the issue is resolved. Our Network Operations team is adding more machines to the MySQL server in which your account is hosted. Once our Network Operations team has added more machines to MySQL server in which your account is hosted, you should not experience any issues with either the working of the Web site or the MySQL databases in your account. The issue is resolved as soon as possible."

So, hopefully this stuff will be resolved before long. The long wait time is killing all of us- you, having to wait so long for ANYTHING, me not being able to add any new downloads and trying to clean out the dozens of spammers from our member list. I know we are limping along right now, but we'll be back to high speed before long(I hope). Just keep checking back.

We appreciate the passion of the Tribes2 community, and want to assure you that Vivendi has been diligently working to correct the issues you are experiencing. We have already escalated the issue and the tribes team is looking into the matter. At this point of time we do not have ETA. We really appreciate your dedication towards the game. Please be assured that we value the Tribes2 community and it's players. Once again, thank you for your patience.
